AIR SAFARIS UGANDA, QUEEN ELIZABETH AND MURCHISON FALLS -3 DAYS
Air safaris to Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks depart every Friday morning. The following packages are designed for maximum convenience for our clients. Safari Packages include air field taxes, park entry fees, boat trips, full board accommodation whilst on safari and game drives as per the itinerary. See the detailed itineraries below.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Three Days and Two Nights
Day 1 Friday
Pick up from your hotel in Kampala / Entebbe at 08:45 hours and drive to Kajjansi air filed. Depart at 09:00 hours flying in a westerly direction. The flight through to the western Rift Valley offers a picturesque view of volcanic formations as you fly to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive at Mweya Safari Lodge 10:45 hours in time to check in, relax and have lunch. You have now reached an oasis of luxury surrounded by natural wilderness.
After lunch, drive to the dock on the channel for a unique afternoon trip in opulent boats. The cruise will take you along Kazinga Channel, which joins lakes Edward, and George. This trip goes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos in Africa. Many other animals may be seen including warthogs, Monitor lizards, crocodiles and a variety of bird species such as the Great Snipe, Papyrus Gonolek, and fish Eagles, Pallid Harrier, Gull Billed Tern, Lesser Kestrel and the rare shoebill stork. Return to the lodge in time for dinner under the stars.
Day 2: Saturday
Start the day with an early morning game drive at 06:30 hours into the wilds of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Weather permitting you will be able to view animals with the bewildering spectacle of Mt. Rwenzori forming a backdrop. Key animals to look out for are Hyenas, Elephants, lions, leopards and a variety of Antelopes on the open savannah plains. Return in time for a sumptuous breakfast.
Afternoon is at leisure (taking it easy) /or simply enjoying a refreshing cock tail by the pool with its un paralleled view of Lake Edward stretching into the horizon.
Day 3: Sunday
Wake up early at 06:30 hours for a thrilling chimp walking safari at Kyambura gorge. A refreshing packed breakfast will be provided. Return to the lodge in time for lunch and prepare for your journey back from the wilderness. Depart Mweya Safari Lodge at 14:30 hours for Kajjansi from where you will be transferred back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
Murchison Falls National Park
Three Days and Two Nights
Day 1: Friday
Pick up from your hotel in Kampala / Entebbe at 08:45 hours and drive to Kajjansi air filed. Depart at 09:00 hours flying in a northerly direction. Enjoy a picturesque aerial view of the majestic Murchison falls prior to landing as we fly through the Murchison falls National Park. Arrive at Pakuba airfield at 10:00 hours and then proceed to Paraa Safari Lodge reaching at 10:30 hours in time to check in, relax and have lunch.
In the afternoon take a launch trip on the River Nile to the bottom of Murchison falls. You will most likely encounter crocodiles, Hippos, monitor lizards, the rare shoebill stork, saddle bill stork, the hornbill, red throated bee – eater, the African skimmer, fulvous whistling ducks, wattled plover, Egyptian goose, Goliath heron, lesser Jacana and other Cormorants. Return to the lodge in time for dinner under the stars.
Day 2: Saturday
Wake up for a sumptuous breakfast served at 06:30 am. Set off for an early game drive in search of the early raisers and predators returning to their hideouts. Look out for Giraffes, Lions, Elephants and other big game.
In the afternoon set off for a truly magnificent trip to view the top of the Murchison falls. The earth literally trembles at Murchison Falls, one of the world’s most powerful flow of natural water.
Day 3: Sunday
Wake up refreshed to a delicious breakfast. This is at leisure (taking it easy) /or simply enjoying a refreshing cock tail by the pool whilst admiring the meandering Nile visible in the distance. Prepare for your journey back from the wilderness. Depart Paraa Safari Lodge at 14:00 hours for Kajjansi from where you will be transferred back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
